  1. Many Hongkers don't have much patience for mainlanders; these two cannot control themselves.
I don't know the whole story or if this victim inferiorized them. Such an action is childish, and they deserve to be punished for immaturity.
Do we know if she did anything to piss them off? No, we did not

  3. I'm over 6ft tall and have some experience of this issue, on one flight the person seated in front of me reclined their seat fully, I couldn't see the screen in front of me without reclining my seat fully…thus impacting on the person behind me, which I didn't do and resorted to reading a book instead of watching a film…not everyone is selfish like this woman.

  4. BBC news. Filmed in a girls bedroom with the reporter kneeling in front of the camera. How professional.

  5. The severe editing of this video is horrible and makes it hard to understand WHAT is being said.

  6. To be completely fair, it’s a terrible design to have a television on the back of a movable chair. I wouldn’t like to be watching die hard 2 and the tv keeps moving about. People are also crammed in like battery hens so periodically having a chair with a Chinese woman’s head in my lap is adding insult to injury. With that said it’s still not good to be assaulting other passengers because the airlines and their engineers are retarded.

  7. I always put a pound coin in the hinge of the seat Infront of me. Stops them from reclining the seat. I only do this on short haul, long haul it's acceptable.

  8. the only way to avoid such kind of dispute in the future is separating those china man with others by exclusive aircraft

  9. She paid for the flight and has the right to recline as much as the idiots behind her also have recline. I can’t believe people behave like this wow

  10. Chinese people are clamped under the Communist Regime for soo long the generations have lost all the morality & conscience to co exist in Civil Society

  11. Chinese manners. I don't even blame them, they don't any know better. (Not all, just some) Disappointed in the flight attendants reaction but hey, they don't get paid enough for this nonsense

  12. Apart from when taking off & landing & when food is being served you should be able to recline at your leisure. I had the same issue on a Saudi flight a few weeks ago. The woman behind me claimed I was crushing her & she was suffocating. lol 😂, so I told her to recline her seat back. I paid £1250 for a seat you cannot recline

  13. Terrible reporting. It's all over the page and not even clear what you're saying. Who was actually banned? Listening to this garbled video it could easily be argued either way.

  14. The full story wasn't like that…. The passenger from China has bad records of causing trouble in the planes. Even though the Hong Kong couple are rude, I still think it is so unfair for them to be banned from the airline

  15. I remember going to Australia once and we stopped off at Singapore. They’re were only about 20 of us left on the plane and they moved us all up front to first class. The difference was unreal, we went from being cramped in tiny seats to have pods that folded down into beds. On long haul flights it’s definitely worth spending the extra money to even fly business class so you don’t have this problem.

  16. If the airline doesn't want people to recline then they'll be no recliner available, I've been on those flights where the seat can't recline. So there's such things

  17. These seats "recline" a couple of inches at most. The thought that this inconveniences someone or that this is an ethical concern is beyond r'd

  18. Cathay pacific economy seats are actually roomy. And it has levels of recline.

I think the attitude given was not good so the couple’s response might also be triggered. We do not know. We were not there. But asians are generally taught to give way to elders. 🤷‍♂️

  19. Keep your feet off the back of the seats or arm rests period. Or pay for a bigger seat and leg space.

  20. This happened to me flying back from Hawaii to California. A couple was rude, including her husband, until I stood up and everything went quiet. I guess being 6'5 and 270lb kinda helped. If wondering why I didn't sit upright is because I was taking a nap and I had my noise canceling headphones on and I didn't hear them at first plus I was slouching slightly to get some rest. But after I felt them kicked the chair it definitely woke me at first I thought bad turbulence but after additional kicks to my chair I realized that they wanted my chair straight up but didn't tell me why. But after I stood up, the husband said sorry, and I went back to sleep without any issues it worked out at the end.

  21. So they were allowed to bully this lady for the whole of a long haul flight? Surely they also assaulted this lady to some extent. I mean slapping her arm and kicking the seat is wild.

  22. I’m sure the white haired girl was being a brat. The couple was silly as well, but I don’t believe the 30 yr old blonde chick was innocent.

  23. There's little enough space on planes anyway, they really shouldn't have reclining seats in the 1st place. Long haul just makes everything worse.

  24. These are economy seats. They do not recline far enough for you not to be able to watch tv or even keep a tray down. If you want more room then buy business class or first class tickets like everyone else or better yet just get your own private jet.

  25. Sits should be blocked of reclining. When people recline the sit the one sitting behind cannot have their tray open as it gets pushed too close to the chest. The sits row in new planes have become positioned to close each other because airlines want more passangers. The problem is airline.

  26. If she could not see her tv without reclining this means the sits rows are too close and passangers behind her cannot see their TV at all because of her reclining. Plus the reclining tray is more likelly pushing them into chest. The problem is in airline placing too many rows.

  27. This happens to me a lot of times, I do not recline my seat because I do not want to inconvenience the people behind me, but the ones in front me do, making the tv screen rest so close to my face. I do not blame anyone. But during meal service, it’s infuriating when people recline their seats so the tray table hits you.

  28. Make it so that seat positions can't be adjusted. I don't care if they are permanently upright or permanently reclined.

  29. Airlines offer reclining seats but the space is so tight between rows that nobody can actually use the recliners without being inconsiderate of the person behind. Ultimately it is the greed of the airlines trying to pack more and more people in the plane.
