  1. Pavlovic is him.
this guy gets better and better each game.

    Absolute monster performance against leverkusen!

  2. We learned a lot about ourselves under Kompany yesterday despite only getting 1 point. Order seems to have been restored in the league, now we’ll see if that translates to Europe. Villa should be joint top of the Premier League by the end of today.

  3. At least current Davies is not as frustrating to watch anymore, seems like hes starting to give a fuck again.

  4. Biggest mistake of Tuchel was to never play Pavlovic and Kimmich together

  5. I am a Kompany believer at this point

We will win, draw and lose games during this rebuild phase, but this guy brought the Bayern DNA back to the fullest within a couple of weeks, something Tuchel was lightyears off and even JN couldn’t really do.

Kimmichs comments about Vinnie and the 2 CBs yesterday shows it all

  6. Unlike Tuchel, who will mock and blame players, Kompany knows how to use the players and try to add more confidence by giving them the right environment. Guerreiro barely played under Tuchel, but he has been amazing as he played both lb and rb, and sometimes cdm. Also, Kim is back under Kompany, as we can see the plays that he did in Napoli.

The vibe and aura of the team are totally different, they’re are like Warriors.

  7. I don’t share the sentiment that Villa will be a real threat on Wednesday. They had one of the easiest schedules in the Premier League so far and struggled against Wycombe in the Cup. They play today against 18th placed Ipswich, so i expect them to win this one aswell. Still expect us to dominate them next week.

  8. Extremely happy with our defence, don’t think the likes of ollie Watkins will be a threat, and I guess palhina will start against villa

  9. Bayer Leverkusen-fans discussing whether Grimaldo should have been send off:

    >Nö, hätte er nicht. Die Einschätzung war ok so. Er wird zwar nicht getroffen, aber der Bayernspieler ist so angehaucht, dass seine Bewegung als antizipiertes Ausweichen gesehen werden kann. Das ist dann nun mal nicht strafbar.

    >No, he shouldn’t [have been send off]. The call was okay that way. He doesn’t get hit, but the Bayern-player dives in, so that his movement could be seen as anticipated evading. Thats not punishable.

I really love that phrase “anticipated evading”, not sure if you can say that in English (probably not) but in German it really sounds great.

My only question is whether if acting hurt is also a part of the “anticipated evading”.

  10. Really happy with the trajectory of this team under Kompany. The defence finally looks very solid, the midfield looks dominant, and the attack looks completely rejuvenated under Kompany. Yesterday was the most dominant match vs a top team since the Flick days, they literally couldn’t breath the whole match.

  11. > Kompany: “The spaces [against Leverkusen] are from the edge of the box, which is where we scored the goal, because they were really compact”

So we purposefully made a lot of attempts from just outside of the box, it was part of the gameplan and not lack of ideas. Shame only 1 went in.

  12. I’m very happy to see that Davies looks like he’s actually putting in effort again. Yes he took a lot of shots yesterday, but if you have space, time and an opportunity, for me I don’t see a reason not to.

But he seems more composed and tactically aware under Kompany. Love it

  13. I was at the game yesterday and it cannot be understated how dominant Bayern were. I was seated around section 120 in the bottom level and my neck was turned to the right for almost all of the second half due to how much possession Bayern had in Leverkusens half. It’s a shame we didn’t win but we were without a doubt the better team and had full control the entire match.

  14. Pavlo pointing towards the Bayern logo on his trikot after scoring just once more shows that this guy bleeds Bayern. Will be an all-timer.

  15. Yesterday’s match reminded me a match vs them in 2013 under Pep which also ended up in 1:1 and we were dominant team and people agreed it was probably our best game yet under Pep despite the result and the fact we just few days before that destroyed Man City away. Watching Bayern became again highly enjoyable experience. Kompany delivered his promise. The team is hungy and keep fighting for dominance. Even if Xabi and his players say that they are happy with 1 point got here, you could tell they were not happy how that game looked. They had no control and just fought for survival.

  16. Such a good sign we look this dominant, this attacking and defensively competent when kompany has only been in charge for about 3 months, and working with the team for 2. Lots of good things to come.

  17. Under Kompany , players who were bad and were considered to be done such as Davies and Upa have been performing so good . It is clear that players were never the problem but the coach

  18. > Manuel Neuer: “We have confidence back again. No matter which team we’re playing against, even against Leverkusen. We’re sticking to our style, we’ve been dominant. That’s something different than before. The sense of certainty that Kompany gives each individual player is noticeable on the pitch, the connection we have. We’re playing as a team” [via @BILD]

I dont know if I interprete it wrongly, but after Kimmich Neuer is now the 2nd one to reiterate the fantastic man management by Kompany. Seems like a bit of a dig at TT for not doing so tbh

  19. Too bad we couldn’t sell Coman this summer, which would have secured us atleast €40m+. With how he is currently performing i don’t see any european club signing him next summer, so the Saudi’s might be again his only option.

  20. I’d do anything for Bayern to sign Lamine Yamal man.

  21. The best thing to come out of Tuchels tenure is “Dann machen wirs halt mit Aleks aus unserer U23”

  22. I owe a very big apology to Kompany, hes done incredible work so far…also how good is to see gnabry ball like this man I love him. Which of the 3 jerseys should I go for ?

  23. Kinda interesting, in the first 5 games of the season, Wolfsburg has played against the nr 1, nr2, nr 3 and nr 5 of last season and dropped points in all of those games because of late game conceded goals.

In the Frankfurt and Bayern games it was a goal in the 82th minute and, vs Stuttgart 90+7 and vs Leverkusen 90+3
