Central Europe in grips of worst flooding in decades | DW News

Flood alerts are in place in many parts of Central Europe, in the wake of torrential rainfall that has caused many of the region’s rivers to swell dramatically. Among the worst affected areas are Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. With rain continuing to fall and floodwaters moving downstream, forecasters warn the worst may be yet to come.

  31. Please note that not all central europe is in big trouble… Hungary is well prepared, because our government puts real problems first.

    1. Our government doesn't care about illegal immigrants, only cares about real refuges.

  46. The catastrophe moves up north year by year. It means when now it's arrived in Germany, France, Portugal ( floods, storms, wildfires ) then UK and DK be next. But the actual issue is that this catastrophe – the collapsing climate – is manmade. From the mid-eighties all scientific data was out to let all governments know that this is to come – – unless other technologies for transport and energy get chosen. They didn't avoid for 30 years what they knew was coming. That is the actual issue. Do you want anybody to die for this now? Or who would? Would you want to?
