Tory policies have killed thousands of poor and disabled people
This is endless with political parties of all stripes.
In reality, hundreds of thousands of people can go in and out of poverty on the basis of tiny statistical changes. And, moreover, without getting any better or worse off.
It’s no great boast – on a statistical level, poverty and other metrics of inequality have been fairly flat since the early 90s.
If you want to actually reflect genuine improvements in people’s living standards, drop the obsession with poverty figures.
Straight out of the Trump / Vance playbook…if you can’t find anything positive and truthful to talk about, then just make wild sh#t up! The contempt these politicians have regarding the public’s intellect, actually emboldens them to think they can say this bs and nobody will notice.🤦🫣🤪
