Putin’s New Gameplan To Stun Ukraine? Russian Military Ordered To Hire New Troops Amid Kursk Attack

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to call up 1.33 lakh conscripts for military service in the fall campaign, TASS reported. The decree also ordered the discharge of Russian servicemen who served the established time. It’s unclear if the new troops would replace the discharged soldiers. This comes after Putin ordered the Russian military to expand its size.

  26. Nothing much new here. Russia has 2 rounds of national conscription each year, and has done for decades. The only difference is the suggested number of 140k, which is a 20k increase on the normal number.
