  1. So who is gonna provide you food for nothing in exchange?

  2. In any system there is some form of hierarchy and “coercion” if you want to call it that. Humans started to live in groups in order to increase chances of survival. All group members had tasks that (hunt or gather, take care of kids) add to the benefit of the group and ensured survival. If you did not pull your weight, you were ostracized or expelled. The only difference with capitalism is that the means of exchange has become money, rather than tasks and that there is less group feeling but more focus on the individual.

  3. All actions necessary to sustain life are involuntary and based on coercion. The wolf is coerced by his hunger to hunt and eat the deer. He can never voluntarily stop hunting or he will die. The capitalist system is this basic idea with a few levels of abstraction.

  4. What motivation would another system use to compell necessary but unpleasant work?

  5. If you have 10 people living in the woods and only 6 fetch water while the other 4 sit around complaining they don’t like carrying water in order for those 4 to drink the other 6 will be expected to fetch more water. While those 6 are fetching water twice they’re not hunting or collecting firewood so you now have 10 people that are hungry and those 4 people will be bitching that they deserve free food too. Soon the 6 will split off to a new camp and let the 4 bitch at and blame each other while they die or stop being entitled pricks.

  6. People are allowed to work, subsist, and create value on their own. And a great deal do.

  7. The real kicker is that your ability to have health care is also tied to said job

  8. LOL!!!! Food, shelter and comfort is the basis of fucking EXISTENCE.

  9. Life has winners and losers, relatively speaking and while it may be unpopular to discuss when we are nearly ALL under growing inflationary pressure, it is a fact of existence.

People need to stop bitching and finding the next more successful person next to them to blame for their basic monkey emotions of envy, greed, and rationization of those feelings as victimhood.

We ALL work hard and just because someone is clever enough or creative enough to do much better than many others doesn’t mean they don’t deserve their success.

Yes the major corporations are greedy as fuck. Yes the richest among us should not have tax loopholes. Yes congress should not be a goddamn hedge fund.

That does not extend to every person in a hierarchy of privilege owing an equal of share of it to every person with less. That shit is absurd.

  10. Labor was and will never truly be voluntary, even assuming we went back to the stone age you’d still need to hunt, gather or harvest, for days on end just for subsistance. The problem with the people who think working should be voluntary is that they think theyre entitled to the work of others but others arent to theirs. Sure you should get free food, and fuck the farmer who has to work for it I guess, or just any of the other commodities you enjoy without even being aware of all the actual labor that goes behind it for it to be a convenience for you
