It is quite common knowledge here. Dywizjon 302 i 303. There are streets and whole neighborhoods named after them.
I’m a 2nd generation Polish immigrant who grew up next to RAF Northolt, and even was in the air cadets for 5 years stationed at that base, where our emblem was the Polish Air Force Roundel. Even had the honour of laying down our squadrons reef at the Polish War memorial next to the base.
The history is well known, but has been forgotten by a large number of people in the UK, sadly. This is a great reminder
England has always been great at fighting wars with other people’s lives.
TIL polish pilots were real heroes during WWII. Incredible history.
I forgot the name of it, but there’s a movie about it, I think on Netflix?
Its pretty common knowledge in the UK; we’re immensely proud and awestruck by the Polish squadron’s RAF records in Britain.
Pity they saved that shithole London.
Now please UK, remind us of who was the first one to crack Enigma machine, not the one who did a brilliant job in improving the process and invented computers.
