Tuned in late, nothing for the publicans yet no? Lol
20 cigarettes up €1
E-cig liquid tax of 50c per ml, commencing middle of 2025
lets goooo e-cigerates tax
€18.05 cent for fag’s… God damn.
Glad I don’t smoke. Commiserations to those that do.
Higher rate of stamp duty on bulk acquisition of houses up from 10% to 15% **immediately**
Stamp duty on property valued over €1.5m increases to 6% from tonight
Vacant Homes Tax increased from 5× to 7×
Ah lads an increase in vapes from €8 to €9.20… whats Connor next door going to do now?
Some pair of lungs on Jack
Anyone hear anything about third level fees
They’re not touching the drink, thank the lord
Direct exchequer funding for the tv licence or fuck off
Serious grunts coming out of the room when that 6% higher stamp duty was announced there
some VRT changes for battery EVs, including those for company and commercial use
why am I so excited everytime I watch the budget and always end up getting fucked up when its done practically.
€18.05 for a packet of deathsticks now… lol
VAT rate on heat pumps reduced to 9%
Carbon tax is such a kick in the nuts
We fundamentally have no vision for the future beyond an election cycle, this is why everything is beyond capacity. Fuck off with the energy credits, BUILD the infrastructure and provide cheaper electricity.
insurance tax reduced to 0 was 1%
Right so when is CGT on ETFs and other stock investments going to be cut?
Ah, great, as a working person will it help me ?
Happy to see carer allowances etc being paid out as they are angels and some other deserving places but the working person is the worker ant getting milked really.
I see friends on fb in diff places in the world posting about “love where u live” etc and I know they mean it as I used live there as well – but do we feel that here ?
I’m afraid that I don’t lately and the thought of a long winter ahead is daunting … and I moved back here and raised children here … but it’s getting worse I think …
I know we have a shit climate but there used to be more community etc to balance it, but it’s changing rapidly and the most obvious and basic things like housing and the HSE are in huge crisis with no end in sight – plus, immigration is getting totally out of control and hard drugs are freely available now on any night out in cork (so I’m told by the younger lads) ..
Do we love where we live now ?
Cheer me up ffs lol 😂
Anything in the budget for a strepsils for TD’s, really sounds like they need relief there
The poor mortgage holders who have seen at least 15% increase in property prices since they bought get help but the first time buyer who has to pay 30k+ for the same house get a couple hundred which doesn’t even cover rent increases for 2024.
Make it make sense.
Well that was short and bland
Are we all rich now?
3.5/10
Not ENOUGH misery
Gowan Jackie boy… 27bn record surplus and I haven’t got a clue what you said
Jack looks like he’s aged during that speech.
Quick question, when do changes like the reduced USC come into effect? Will I see it in my next paycheck?
a momANT
TDs on their phones in the Dail. I hate that.
You’re at work lads, get off the phone!
Can someone go switch Pascal into 2× playback speed?
So this income tax package with the increase in bands and the like
Does anyone know what that really means?
How many euros will I get a month?
Energy credit of €250 for all households, paid in two equal payments
€300 to recipients of Fuel Allowance in November
€200 to Living Alone Allowance in November
€400 to Carers Support, DA, Blind, Invalidity, DCA in November

Student contribution fees reduction by €1k
I don’t mind the tax on disposable vapes, but 50c per ml will kill those of us on the non disposable vapes. I already pay between €3-€5 for 10ml liquid.
€12 increase to all social welfare payments
Carers Allowance means test disregard to €625/€1250; and will also now get Fuel Allowance
