    Happy to see carer allowances etc being paid out as they are angels and some other deserving places but the working person is the worker ant getting milked really.

    I see friends on fb in diff places in the world posting about “love where u live” etc and I know they mean it as I used live there as well – but do we feel that here ?

    I’m afraid that I don’t lately and the thought of a long winter ahead is daunting … and I moved back here and raised children here … but it’s getting worse I think …

    I know we have a shit climate but there used to be more community etc to balance it, but it’s changing rapidly and the most obvious and basic things like housing and the HSE are in huge crisis with no end in sight – plus, immigration is getting totally out of control and hard drugs are freely available now on any night out in cork (so I’m told by the younger lads) ..

23. The poor mortgage holders who have seen at least 15% increase in property prices since they bought get help but the first time buyer who has to pay 30k+ for the same house get a couple hundred which doesn’t even cover rent increases for 2024.
