match updates:

1' – kickoff, vamos!

2' – our boys immediately pin Lille into their own box, but that bodes the risk for counter attacks, and Lille almost get their first big chance through one but Aguado can block the shot at the last second

4' – Dani Yáñez enters the box from the right and dribbles past two opposing players, his shot is right at the keeper though

8' – next big chance on the counter for Lille, their winger squares it for their striker who is alone in the box in front of Fran González, but he misses the goal entirely from this position, incredible luck for Juvenil A

17' – Lille are dominating us physically in every sense – our players are dropping injured to the floor like flies and Lille are entering our box every other minute

🔄 19' – double substitution due to injury, you'll rarely see that – de Llanos for Aimar Santiago, who received a strong blow to his head for which the Lille player received yellow rightfully and is bleeding, and Roi Torres for Fortea, who seemingly has a muscular injury. Our keeper Álvaro González was also getting treatment, but he can continue for now

29' – next big chance for Lille, Aguado loses the ball at the edge of the box, Lille's left winger picks it up, but then misses the goal, again, entirely, from a short distance – this is not looking good at all, but thankfully it looks like the young Lille players can run, press, foul and tackle much better than they can finish and cross which is the only thing keeping this at 0-0

31' – next good chance for Lille, their player cuts inside and shoots from the edge of the box, but Álvaro saves it nicely for a corner

36' – the Lille players are tackling extremely hard and the referee doesn't give yellows or even fouls for many of them

⚽ 40' – goal for Lille, long coming – absolute golazo from their #10, who receives the ball in the box, nutmegs Aguado, picks the ball up again and lays it into the far corner for the well deserved lead for Lille

⚽ 42' – this is a disaster – 2:0 just shortly after, Diego Aguado with a terrible pass inviting Lille to another quick counter, their left winger plays it square for their right winger, he finishes past Álvaro for the 2:0

HT – absolute horror, this was very hard to watch – completely outclassed by Lille here – their players are all of African origin and are much faster, stronger, taller and playing with more confidence than our team, physically, it's like watching a bunch of 15 year olds face off against a senior team – after various fouls and injuries to our players, the team looks very scared, misplaces a shit load of easy passes in an unnecessary and avoidable manner and is very lucky to only be down 2-0 after the first half. The referee doesn't help, and while I'm not sure what Arbeloa's plan here was, it's safe to say it backfired spectacularly, it might honestly be the worst half I've ever seen by a Real Madrid U19 team. Arbeloa needs to figure something out for the second half, although I personally have no idea who or what could possibly save this match
