  1. We need to start thinking about replacing Neuer yesteryear. Yes GOAT, yes legend. But if he was any other player *cough* Upa *cough* the shit talking about his repeated CL blunders would never stop.

  2. I’m shitting bricks thinking about the next 3 games especially Frankfurt’s

  3. We’re definitely turning back into the Bayern we all know and love where we don’t score absolute sitters while the opponent can pull a win out their ass with 2 shots on goal.

  4. Can I just say that I‘m fucking sick of our attackers bottling sitters again and again in important games?

I don‘t even know the last time we we’re actually clutch

  5. > Jhon Durán calls Bayern ‘the club of his dreams’ after his goal last night: “I feel happy to be able to score, and even more so against a great team like Bayern Munich, which is the club of my dreams. I’m happy to be the man of the match against this team, which was also my dream” [@NoticiasCaracol]

    ay yo

  6. I have to say, Villa’s passing was phenomenal last night. Compared to Leverkusen who couldn’t string two passes together against us, Villa even got out of pressing pretty well. Nevertheless, we didn’t give them a lot of chances. It would have been even less, if we used Palhinha from the start. Upa and Kim had to be on alert for the whole game and did their huge task pretty well, considering they had to defend alone. Neuer *did* look bad on the goal, but props to Villa for the execution. The precision of the pass and the lob over Neuer was crazy and I think in most cases it wouldn’t work that perfectly.

Kimmich was huge yesterday. He tracked back, collected balls, fought against a big press and tried to distribute balls to our attackers. Huge respect for Davies as well, who seems to finally have found his form again. Our attackers on the other hand looked lost. Without Musiala, the center looked very empty. There was considerably less movement off the ball than in previous games. It looked better when Musiala came on, even though it didn’t really work for him either. On another day, we would have won this, I’m 100% sure.

I have always been a fan of Coman, but damn, he gets worse every game. He doesn’t add anything to our game, not even his trademark 1 on 1. Gnabry looked very off last night as well. His decision-making was absolutely weird, like he had to stubbornly prove something to himself.

There is a lot to learn from this game and it’s a good thing we ran into this wall this early in the season. I’m certain we’ll come back stronger from this.

  7. Im pretty mad at Gnabry. If he had passed the ball it would have been a goal and a totally different game. He did the same shenanigan against Leverkusen where he shot and hit the post, instead of passing to the better positioned Olise. If you have Gnabry in the form and on the other side Coman, then good night…

  8. How the fuck did Bild watch the game and give Coman and Davies the same rating? While one was a wasteful player, the other fought his way through the entire game. 5 for Davies is a crime imo

  9. Reality is, we played against 2 good teams under Kompany, scored 1 freak longshot goal and got one point. Can’t be very excited about that

  10. Imho, yesterday was a prime example of why we need another world class difference maker upfront. And that is why spending big on Wirtz is an absolute no brainer.

  11. 1. Laimer is a$$. Need gurrerio on rb
    2. Gnabry is mid . Bring in sane.
    3. Palhinha In the midfield?
    4. Kane should stay more inside the opposition’s box.

  12. I hope kompany will play tel instead of coman from now. Maybe even he should play before gnabry after he sabotaged two games in a row

  13. I don’t want to beat a dead horse or anything but Coman was utterly useless yesterday.

If I’m being generous, one thing I can give Gnabry credit for is that if you give him enough chances, he’s likely to put one away. He is wasteful but gets into the right spaces enough times for him to at least be a regular threat. In another game, against another keeper (I hate Martinez but the guy _is_ good), he could have been more effective. I realise that ‘could’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting but it’s happened before. But as a whole, he really wasn’t good enough.

But Coman though… I know he has scored goals, he has scored important goals, he has had big performances, he has been a difference maker but I don’t think I have seen Bayern play in the last few seasons and thought ‘they need to get the ball to Coman’.

A Coman sale doesn’t cover a whole lot of a Wirtz transfer but damn if that’s isn’t the most obvious starting point I can think of.

  14. Some people really underestimated Aston Villa who has a world class World Champion GK + Emeryball who knows how to play against teams like us.

Nevertheless, our attackers should be more crucial in the final third. Shameful performance by them.

  15. just thinking about yesterday, our corners were abysmal. We had 10 of them and I can’t remember one dangerous situation that came from them.

  16. Don’t get me wrong, Laimer is a great squad player that you can throw in 10 Minutes at the end of every game who also seems to be a great teamplayer, but starting him is entirely different especially at RB. We saw his deficits against Kiel where he had no situational awareness of his opponent which led to a goal and offensively he doesn’t harmonize well with Olise. Sadly Kimmich is needed in the midfield and both Stani/Boey are injured. Guerreiro was missed yesterday, but you can’t play him every game, especially how injury prone he is.

  17. No matter what anyone says Mourinho has completely ruined football with his sit deep and wait for counters philosophy that has been more and more popular because it’s pretty much the only tactic that works when your team has far worse quality than the opposition.

It makes the games unwatchable and I had this same opinion when we ourselves played it under Tuchel I fucking hope the board will never again appoint someone with a similar game approach

  18. When you think about it, Jupp beating Emery’s PSG by fielding Tolisso and Rudy as pivot, while having Ulreich as GK is an actual Jupp masterclass.

  19. When facing a well drilled low-block team then expect Plan A to fail.

Then Plan B comes in and it does some damage but it’s still not enough. Now you resort to set pieces.

As boring as it could be, Set pieces are the only real unlockers to a tight defense. A good set piece routine, whether from FKs or corners, could potentially score you a goal.

I honestly don’t recall us having a good set piece yesterday. I don’t even know what was the idea behind that last free kick of the game.

  20. Lmao just watching these horrible referee decisions from the madrid game yesterday and you dont see ONE real madrid flair in the match threads 😂

  21. The task for Sunday should be clear. Put in another dominant performance and this time take home the win. I am pretty confident about it the team has shown great promise so far.

  22. Perhaps we should put Nagelsmann going out against Villareal into perspective now that Emery did it again.

  23. >Adam Aznou in Morocco squad for the games against Central African Republic

  24. Well, it seems that we’ve been cracked. I just hope this is just a blip, and not the norm.

  25. We need to replace gnabry and Coman eventually. It’s been far too long now. At this point they’re just gonna be playing their entire careers here, and all of it is lackluster.

  26. Positives from last night Aston Villa didnt have a clear cut chance same with Leverkusen. Also Kimmich passes were insane yesterday.

  27. I’d rather be unlucky to lose 1-0, than lucky to lose just with 1-0.

I think it’s a perspective some crisis propagandists need.

  28. The overreactions in the post match thread and here are embarassing. Guess I’ll take a break from this sub until after the next game. Bunch of crybabies

  29. The performance was alright and the difference between a result and a loss was the keepers. Neuer had a blunder and Martinez made 3 clutch saves. It’s not like they were outplayed by Villa or anything like that. In fact, Bayern were the better team.

Bayern had a way more embarrassing loss than this when they won the Treble. Losing a random CL game in October isn’t a big deal, especially away against a pretty good team.

We’ve yet to see Bayern outplayed this season and that’s a positive sign. For now, I see no reason for concern

  30. Ah, the eternal battle rages once again to answer this sub’s burning question: who is the bigger drama queen?

Those complaining about the last 1-2 games or those complaining about those complaining about the last 1-2 games?

  31. i am seeing this sub still be in panic mode i guess. really not our best game with a questionable lineup but i just hope the players bounce back from it with the frankfurt game (who are in good form at home). it’s an unlucky one-nil loss against unai. like man city, arsenal and liverpool struggle often to play against them in the prem. we will be okay.

just a reminder : jupp lost to bate borisov and still won the treble. the competition does not end now.

  32. Ngl I was so tired last night I fell asleep before half time so I have literally zero opinion on the game lmao. I did see Serge not crossing to Harry though which pissed me off a bit, but whatever, bring on Frankfurt.

  33. I think yesterday sort of puts Gnabry’s performances this season into a slightly new perspective. I think his movement on and off the ball have been great, his workrate is fantastic and he seems to be a lot more agile again than previously but he still lacks that threat in front of goal to either make the right last pass or score it himself.

And I think we really need him to step up in this regard because we do lack wingers with actual output besides Olise. I don’t think Coman will get there and at what point Sané finds his form again is uncertain. So Gnabry is our best bet this season.
