Super Typhoon Yagi wreaks havoc across Asia | DW News

The clean-up is underway in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yagi, which struck several Asian countries as the most powerful storm of the year, and one of the strongest in decades.
Yagi has now weakened, after killing more than a dozen people as its passed through China and the Philippines. The storm also struck Vietnam, where it caused flooding, sunk boats and destroyed buildings. Yagi has now been downgraded to a tropical depression, but officials are still warning of the danger of landslides and flash flooding in some areas.

  5. Why interview a reporter all the way in Taiwan? Would have been better off talking to a meteorologist if you have no boots on the ground.

  21. DW, if this happens in Europe, wreaking havoc with their houses, many Europeans are crying😭 and super disappointed but Asia people don't cry that much in catastrophe like this because Asians are always used to this☝️. Rain is a blessing too.

  22. Typhoon is horrible, big rain after passing more horrible than itself. Because of mud slide, high flood . After food finished that's😢 Dease .North Viet Nam not often happend but Central Viet Nam always happend from Oct to Dec.

US killed Global warming cooperations and now climate crisis is irreversible as massive storms and massive draughts hitting the world, the summer will be hotter and winters even Colder year by year. The Earth was about 47 degree celsius in Average when dinosaurs were around But there are more oxygen in the atomsphere That can support life, now We are near That temperature But with more CO2 in atomsphere, which would mean That this time We Might break the temperature mark and faces mass extinction events.
