  1. For political reasons, the GOP prefer to maximize American hardship and suffering before the election.

  2. Remember vote GOP and it’s too bad a hurricane ruined your life. They will not care.

  3. He’s an anti American religious zealot. No place in government

  4. DeSantis is going to outlaw the use of the word Hurricane in Florida anyhow, so they’ve got this.

  5. And this is with Hurricane Milton headed for Florida’s west coast. Fuck Mike Johnson.

  6. They’re gonna make people suffer for their party over the country?

  7. How long until we see conservatives/Russian bots on Twitter blaming democrats for this weirdo’s decision? Is it already happening?

  8. Dems need to blast this on every social app there is. Take out advertising on Fox, do whatever it takes to make this known everywhere.

  9. And yet he was recently quoted as saying “The federal government’s response to the hurricane has been a massive failure.” Seriously, fuck this guy.

  10. Won’t respect the results of elections…

Won’t commit to passing disaster relief funding for their own voters…

Where are we going to draw the line here people? It’s time to wake up.

  11. The right wing spin machine is hard at work spreading carefully crafted lies about the administration failing to provide aid and relief efforts. As a part of that campaign, it’s critical that Mike Johnson stop the Biden administration from having access to any additional resources that they might be able to use to try to help people dealing with the consequences of Helene. It’s evil, it’s sick, and it’s the modern day Republican Party under Trump’s leadership.

  12. These people are so cartoonishly evil that if you put that into a movie script, you would get slammed for it being unrealistic.

  13. There’s another one heading to Florida like right in the next few days

  14. Okay. Let Biden call a joint session, then:

“…he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper;”

US Constitution: Article 2, Section 3

  15. https://weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/2024-10-06-milton-major-hurricane-threat-florida-gulf-coast

“Wind Damage: Most of the new computer guidance suggests that a Category 3 hurricane will develop, though some models have a stronger storm than this. Residents should prepare as if a Category 4 or 5 hurricane is anticipated.”

Mike Johnson is willing to let people lose everything to make a political point. It’s beyond ‘not caring’, it’s being openly malicious to American citizens.

“FUCK YOU FLORIDA RESIDENTS, I GOT AN ELECTION TO WIN FOR SUGAR DADDY TRUMP”

    Mike Johnson

  16. Oh but please tell me more about how FEMA is blocking aid and how Harris is only offering $750 to replace your destroyed home.

  17. >Pressed on whether he would call Congress back into session before the election, Johnson replied, “We’ll be back in session immediately after the election.”

    >“That’s 30 days from now. The thing about these hurricanes and disasters of this magnitude is it takes a while to calculate the actual damages, and the states are going to need some time to do that,” Johnson said, adding that determining “specific needs and requests based upon the actual damages” from natural disasters takes time.

  18. Normally I’d make a joke and say they don’t do anything anyway so we’re not missing out but in this scenario I believe johnson is using this to try to hurt the democrats, and I think that’s evil.

Fuck you and your lives, we have an election to influence! we’ll get to helping you in a little over a month when we feel like it.

Dems should be HAMMERING them online, on tv and radio (since they’re so obsessed with FM) about this.

  19. How does that GOP expect to get support when all they want to do is make live hard for people and make them suffer. Heartless bastards.

  20. The GQP likes to whine about problems while stifling any possible solutions.
