Taylor Swift: Labour denies forcing police to grant elite security

1. Genuinely don’t understand the hype about her…

   However she does give back to the communities she visits to the less fortunate so yeah I don’t mind my taxes paid on this type of celeb

2. To be fair to her she probably warrants additional security seeing as there was a direct terror attack foiled only a couple of weeks before playing in London that was targeting her, or her fans.

   Also the boost to the economy of her gigs must have been enormous. What did she do, 7 sell out gigs at Wembley? The sheer number of hotels, food etc that the fans would have booked is worth a few quid to make sure she’s safe.

3. Imagine if something happened to her on our watch, we’d be a laughing stock

4. Shit timing as far as Labour is concerned but ye gods, she’s a global figure who’d just had threats made.

   Some of the things that the police seem to concentrate on don’t exactly fill me with confidence but this sounds pretty reasonable all things considered.
