According to Wikipedia, the oldest spanjool castle is from the 13th century (Manzanares el Real), while the oldest german one is from the 11th (Meersburg).
These castles are the reason Bavaria is a part of Germany. Ludwig the 2nd was a moron.

I don’t know about the outside, but the inside of our castles here in Sweden is mostly German/Polish, so let’s not hate too much. Can’t be much left from before the 18th century down there
