Hi
New ish in Luxembourg. Yesterday night, I had my first accident ever. I hit a cone on the motorway and damaged the lower part of my car front.
Bad weather must have pushed it and was not visible until too late.
Bumper is cracked, fog light and insert need replaced.
I am not sure I can find parts to fix the damage myself. What would be the consequences if I claim it on my insurance (AXA). Will my premium be badly affected? Any idea of the % increase?
What would you do?
Thanks

Generally speking, everyone should use insurances only for covering risks and damages they cannot really afford to cover by themself.
If you’ll use the insurance to cover small damages then you’ll end up paying more.
call your AXA guy and ask
If you have only an RC one you won’t get it covered. If you have a mini omniom you could get it covered by their force of god act. Otherwise you would probably need the full omniom one.
No clue for the % increase though.
Looks to me like a new headlight and you’re good to go.I would go to a backyard mechanic.
