  28. I hope this war ends & does not escalate. We were taught as children that the Soviet Union was a great threat during the cold war, but I remember questioning this years ago & was shocked by the reply from a well informed individual. He said Russia has never really been a threat & is not all that tough but has nukes, any country with nukes is dangerous, he then giggled & said they have a lot of equipment to fight wars but hardly any of it is effective, he said Russia would struggle in a conflict without using nukes individually against us Britain, & also against France, Italy, Germany, Poland & most definitely against Turkey which has the 2nd biggest army in NATO, he then went on to say that Russia combined with all the NATO countries & including China would absolutely struggle to defeat the biggest juggernaut in NATO, the USA.
    But that was like 20 to 30 years ago. Now China is a clear cut superpower & could challenge the USA directly.
