Can Zelenskyy’s Europe tour help sell allies on his victory plan? | DW News

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Paris, the latest stop on a tour of European capitals.

He’s been meeting with President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace. Zelenskyy is seeking support for his plans to win the war with Russia. Earlier, he held talks with the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London.

They were joined by the new NATO chief Mark Rutte. Zelenskyy is trying to secure promises of military assistance before next month’s US elections.

It’s feared aid from the US could dry up if Donald Trump wins the White House. Trump has repeatedly claimed he could quickly end the war in Ukraine if he were to return to power, without providing explanation as to how.

  1. Remember this: whenever Zelensky travels to other countries, it is all about asking for help, money, and aid. Don't believe what he brings, talks about, or acts in front of the media and cameras.

  2. You need to ask if the French are training Ukrainian pilots. A promise of jets is a very long endeavour. The French seem to be denigrated by saying that they have not delivered the aircrafts.

  3. There is no victory plan for Ukraine. Basically the bluff continues. West got the new member of the NATO, west got the new process of mobilisation, increased GDP for defence and what is the most important, there is western media creating the idea of an enemy in public. From cold blooded perspective west is getting stuff. Russia is getting stuff as well. And Ukraine being a dumb enough to loose everything. Well branded though, freedom… What freedom? EU loan? to be payed by the children of the war generation? No way back no way front that is the present condition of Ukraine.

  4. A message to the future generations never make russia feel threatened

the difference between "looking dangerous" and "being dangerous".Russia
describes military doctrine as defensive military doctrine. With regard
to nuclear weapons specifically, Russia reserves the right to use
nuclear weapons: in response to the use of nuclear and other types of
weapons of mass destruction against it or its allies,in case of
aggression against Russia with the use of conventional weapons when the
very existence of the state is threatened

How do Russian nuclear weapons compare to the rest of the world?
    Russia – 6,257
    America 5,550
    UK – 225
    France – 290
    China – 350
    Israel – 90
    Pakistan – 165
    India – 156
    North Korea – 40

  5. Best traveling salesman or sales representative if you like. But by know everybody figured out what is his product, in fact, he could be the real merchant of death.

  6. Why would any democracy, being brutally destroyed by a hate-filled bully neighbor in an illegal war, have to "sell" its peace plan to fellow democracies? Victory plans should be wholeheartedly cheered!

  7. Ukraine is the emblem of democracy, the clown and the fascists are keeping the country in terror, there is a manhunt on the streets, his mandate has expired, he is not fulfilling anything he promised, why are they not asking the population if they want to continue the war, which brings even more suffering

  8. 🤦‍♂️🇺🇦🎥🤮🤮🤮🤮💩 Zelensky He has deceived all of Europe and is giving away money from the European taxpayer to corrupt Ukrainians
