Hello, and welcome to the r/CasualUK Bake Off live thread. It's caramel week this week, hopefully it is't too warm in the tent. Last week John had an absolute bagel disaster in the Showstopper, and Dylan had his best week yet. Paul seems intent on handing out at least one handshake per episode.
A couple of weeks ago our internet died during the show, and paused it on this excellent image of Prue

Ice cream is a bit much for a baking show, isn’t it?

I wonder if the trick is to start with the ice cream to give it time to freeze properly…

Why would you not try and guess the technical? It’s all preparation isn’t it?

Love a technical where there’s so much variation in the final product.
Nobody seems to have done that well here. Apart from maybe Christiaan. And surprisingly, Georgie.
