  1. Aren’t Dems the ones that mostly vote early? If so, that’s gotta be good news for Kamala.

  2. Beautiful. That’s what those of us in Georgia need to do. I’m on my way to vote now.

  3. I am curious, how Trump wins Georgia.

When he faced Biden the first time there were many Republicans who chose Biden for POTUS but Republican down the rest of the ballot.

That was before January 6th, all the lawsuits, some of which resulted in him becoming a felon.

There’s no way Trump has significantly grown his base or general support after all this.

  4. “It took the average voter only a few minutes to cast a ballot on Tuesday morning.”

Versus hours on election day with long lines and no handing out water bottles

  5. Took care of mine first thing this morning. Rolled out of bed, ran a comb through my hair, put my votin’ shirt on (yes, I have a specific votin’ shirt), and ran down to the nearest precinct. No line yet, which concerned me a little, but it sounds like I didn’t need to worry. Here’s hoping it continues and it’s not just being front-loaded.

  6. Very promising. Early voting usually favors Democrats. And when we vote, we win.

  7. Everyone, but especially young voters: You probably have at least 1 close friend that might not take the time to vote (but are registered). Do whatever you can to convince them to come with you. If even 10% of young voters are successful in doing so, it can easily change the course of the election.

  8. I voted yesterday. Walked in to my polling place at 5:20 and was out by 5:30. Go vote people

  9. Did my part about an hour ago. No wait, just walked right in and got my vote in. Saw a steady trickle of folks the entire time, which is really encouraging

  10. I believe Georgia can pull it off for Harris and make it an early night on the 5th. If for nothing else, then to honor Jimmy Carter. I have to admit confusion though, how can it be that a state Biden managed to win and then proceeded to send 2 Democratic Senators to DC can be considered so close after the very public scandal of the “find me 11,000 votes” shit.

  11. I had my ballot back in the mailbox the same day I received it. Took a few hours to research all of the judges but I wanted to make sure it was in early and counted. Received a text a day later that my ballot had been received.

I think this year is a non traditional year and there are a lot more voters who feel the need to be involved because of the situation we are in. I think going by old trends would be a miscalculation.

  12. I’ve not seen this level of enthusiasm since Obama in 2008.

  13. That’s a good sign. Higher turnout usually favors the Democrats.

  14. Yup voted 3 hours ago. Took five minutes. It was an honor to vote for President Harris (soon to be). They just scanned the bar code on my drivers license.

  15. Can we take a moment to appreciate the Republican Secretary of State in GA, Brad Raffensperger?

The man stood up to incredible pressure coming from a sitting POTUS, provided us all with the tape of Trump trying to solicit election fraud by way of his offices, and allowed no BS in the election results from GA in 2020.

I don’t like his politics but I truly think he deserves a medal, and before anyone says “I bet he’ll still vote for Trump” I seriously doubt he will, what with all the death threats and so forth that he and his family have endured thanks to the MAGA election denial. He’s not going to talk about it but I bet he won’t cast a vote for the man,

I’m glad he’s in charge in GA for this election as well.

    Go Georgia! Great turnout!!

  16. TLDR

    • Georgia’s first day of early voting for 2024 election broke records

    • 187,973 in-person votes cast by 2 PM, surpassed previous record of 136,000 set in 2020

    • Georgia is considered one of seven swing states

    • Secretary of State encourages voters to plan ahead

    • Three weeks of early voting available

    • State aims for quick voting times (avg. few minutes on first day)

    • 2,400 polling places will be open on Election Day

  17. Going Friday- taking my 21 y old son- his first presidential vote.

  18. > By 2 p.m., 187,973 votes had been cast in person, according to Gabriel Sterling, chief operating officer for the secretary of state.
    >
    > The first day early voting record is 136,000 votes cast in 2020.
    >
    > “MASSIVE numbers!” Sterling posted on social media.

Fuck yeah! Everyone get your friends out and vote!

  19. FL starts the 21st (6 days).  Taking all 5 of my kids (2 – their first presidential election 20, 24) and wife, gonna turn the state Blue and crush this Trump train once and for all.

  20. That’s great news, but I want to encourage all loyal MAGA supporters to do *exactly* as President Trump said in PA – Get out and vote on January 5th!

  21. As I said in another thread…I understand and COMPLETED the assignment here in Georgia!

  22. Floridian here.

Even after going through the eye of Hurricane Milton at landfall and having no power for 6 day. I just finished my mail-in ballot. Fuck Trump.

  23. I’m so fucking tired of being scared of this election. So fucking tired of this demented fuck spewing all sorts of random bullshit from his orange toxic garbage mouth. I pray Georgia votes for the only sane candidate.

  24. My parents and sister voted today. I’m voting Thursday! Let’s do this again Georgia!

  25. Jimmy Carter made his goal and voted today: https://www.thedailybeast.com/jimmy-carter-has-fulfilled-his-final-dream

  26. Every eligible voter in my household voted today. One of us for the first time in a general election.

All of us would’ve crawled across broken glass to vote against that orange shit stain and the enablers in his party. Fortunately, it was much easier.
