Covid: Brits increasingly lax on masks and social mixing

  1. I mean, yeah. If you tell people that things are open and that they don’t have to wear masks anymore…then they’re not going to keep wearing masks or social distance. A majority of the population have been vaccinated, there’s not much else to do.

I still wear my mask to shops and on the tube etc. But i’m not going to avoid going to crowded places or stop doing things I enjoy since i’ve been double vaccinated, and despite wishing more people would wear masks on public transport, I can’t blame people for wanting to go back to “normal”

  2. Very few seem to be still wearing these unfortunately. I still do but as masks predominantly protect others it’s barely worth it

  3. I went to my first fully crowded concert in almost 2 years yesterday and it was amazing. There’s only so much social distancing a human can take

    Fully vaccinated of course

  4. I used to wear my mask all the time when shopping or using public transport up until very recently. To be honest, I stopped being so diligent about it after noticing that most of the people not wearing masks are exactly the ones at most risk – if they can’t even be bothered to do the bare minimum why should anyone else :/

  5. Why 47% down voted? What this article from the British public TV corporation wrong about? Genuine question, why so many down votes? Is the news not true?

  6. Why would we. All those who want to be vaxxed are fully vaxxed and either these vaccines work or they don’t.

If they don’t, then a flimsy bit of cloth and speaking an extra meter away is not going to work.
