Any help with this? Doing some ancestry research and I can’t decipher this location, but hoping it might stand out to someone on here!

Try r/cursive
I read it as Lerwick but i’m not sure
-Edit, Or Falkirk if the dot’s in the wrong place
Partick
I reckon it could be Borthwick
does the top line read “scotland Dumbarton” ? might help narrow down the search
Donbrick?
It would help to see a bigger selection to compare letters. that said the the two words about say scotland and possibly dumbarton, which suggests Partick to me…
Partick.
I do a fair amount of research with Scottish records.
Partick
Borthwick
Needs a zoomed out photo so people can compare letters.
You need to show more of the text for similarities to be noticed.
Partick area in Glasgow
Definitely Partick.
I think we’ve cracked it – thanks so much everyone!

There’s an area of Dumbarton called Dumbuck, if that’s any help.
Interesting. There are some errors further down – what I assume is Durham looks like Dorham, and West Hartlepool on the same line the writer has tried to correct. Just the sort of errors we all make writing too fast.
I say this, because compared to the other letters it looks like Portrick, but I would bet money that it’s Partick with some too fast joining of the “ar” so they look like “or” and an extra squiggly start of an r after the t. Easily done because of the existence of Patrick
Partick – quite easily read
Osprey heights Craiglang
Could it be Dun Patrick ie Downpatrick in NI ?
I think there is a letter between the t and the i
Lerwick or Patrick
