Müslüm – the helping “Bread Grandpa” | DW News

Many bakeries in Germany throw the bread away if they can’t sell it. Müslüm from Neukölln –
one of the poorest districts of Berlin – saw this a few years ago and came up with a better idea.

  2. In the US, all of the day old bread goes to charitable organization's… At least in every town/city i have lived in.

  3. i worked at a bakery at a safeway. i had a coworker who almost lost her job because the company found out that she was giving old bread away to homeless people instead of throwing it away
