  1. And I had a former student when I taught PE and I also taught science for a couple classes that year as middle school. And when I talk to all boys PE and a couple classes. This young man never showered, never washed his clothes. None of the kids liked him. His personality wasn’t bad. He just stink really bad. So I took him and I told him straight, I offered him our laundry area and I would help him do laundry and buy him the products to make it smell nice but he would have to shower or do his hair and if he needs shampoo, I get him shampoo and conditioner. And the next day and things turned around for him. Sometimes it’s not the family that gets through these kids. It’s the adults that recognize he needs moral support and the doubts that are strong enough to go in and have that discussion with that. I will never forget that I hope that child does not forget our interaction. don’t be afraid of changing. Don’t be afraid to change someone’s life.
