Sweden offers Rs 28 lakh to Indian immigrants to leave

Indian students and immigrants in Sweden are facing an unexpected situation, as the country tightens its immigration policies. In September 2024, Sweden announced a new policy offering large payments to those willing to voluntarily leave the country. By 2026, this payment will increase to a massive 350,000 Swedish kronor (about Rs 28.5 lakh) per person, up from the current amount of 40,000 kronor. This move has left many Indian immigrants worried, as they navigate the changing landscape of Sweden’s migration policy.

The government’s decision, supported by the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats, is part of Sweden’s effort to drastically reduce the number of immigrants. At a press conference, Sweden’s Migration Minister Johan Forssell called it “a paradigm shift” in their migration approach. The offer is aimed at encouraging immigrants, including Indians, to leave Sweden voluntarily, giving them a financial boost to return home.

  1. indians can save that amount in 1 year why would they go, if you give the same amount per every year yes 👍 😂

  2. The amount of information could have been disseminated within 1 minute, uselessly repeating the same statement over and over again.
Sweden should have not paid, but snatched the cost of repatriation flight from the bank accounts or persons and expelled them (those who are without jobs on visit visa or no visa). If money couldn't have been found, they should have demanded the Indian embassy to pay up.

  3. It's a shame that Times XP which is itself an Indian channel is posting this insignificant and negative news about their own people and trying to digest more hate from West. Shame that Indians suffer from such a inferior complexity mindset.

  4. It's a an absolute shame that Times XP which is itself an Indian channel is posting such insignificant and exaggerated news about its own immigrants in a negative light. I wonder how can the news anchor even speak out like this about her own kind. She is herself and Indian which she should understand.
This channel doesn't focus on immigrants from Middle East who are actually causing all problems.

  5. It's not about Indian or african but it's about immigrants all together. They are unable to handle the huge inflow of immigrants whether they are legal or illegal as there would be scarcity for housing and prices would get inflated and local people would suffer and there would be drastic change in the demographics. Hence the decision

  6. This is wrong information. A bised channel made for demoralising India. The fact is not only Sweden but also Europe, America are disturbed by the Middle east and Pakistani immigration.

  7. For those who want real stories here, it is :- the actual news has nothing to do with India😂😂😂 The real problem are asymul Seekers from Middle East, Africa and pakisthan . Hence, Sweden plans to raise payments to immigrants who voluntarily leave the country by 2026. The new policy, announced in September. Indians cannot be assylum Seekers .. 😂😂😂So resident visa holders…the indians are not eligible

  8. I think the immigrants should take it and leave. Because should the right come into government, they will be kicked on their asses and out. 😊

  9. If they don’t want you, you need to go. It’s their country after all. Either you imbibe their culture and become one of those or go where ever you want. Simple. Isn’t?
