I hate this show so much, for one, a bad feeling isn't probable cause neither is seeing a firearm inside someones house, and seeing as they didn't actually have probable cause they entered unlawfully, if the guys hadn't said he planned to throw the grenade at them outside he could have clamed he was defending themselves as they Entered with weapons drawn and as so they fallowing arrest could be nullified cuasing him to go free and even if they later found evidence, no person can be judged twice for the same crime and seeing as the main reason they were there was for the shooting would be included in the initial arrest.
