Let’s remember that the *Politique agricole commune* has been at the heart of the EEC, the EC then the EU since forever, and that our commitment to carbon neutrality demand that we strop breeding such ruminants as the ones depicted in the illustration photograph.
Also, most, if not all, of synthetic fertilizers are derived from petroleum and carry a hefty carbon footprint. I don’t know if those *Farm to Fork* plans include this aspect.
