Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the fell 0.56%.

The best performers of the session on the were IMCD NV (AS:), which rose 0.95% or 1.45 points to trade at 153.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Shell PLC (AS:) added 0.52% or 0.16 points to end at 30.89 and Koninklijke Philips NV (AS:) was up 0.47% or 0.14 points to 29.64 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which fell 2.27% or 2.35 points to trade at 101.35 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) declined 1.56% or 0.35 points to end at 22.13 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:) was down 1.51% or 0.24 points to 15.37.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 76 to 27 and 10 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.28 to $69.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.55% or 1.13 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 5.30 to trade at $2,735.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.40% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.75.
