Lionel Richie is heading back to the UK and Ireland for an arena tour next summer.
The āSay Hello To The Hitsā tour is the legendary singerās first UK and Ireland arena shows since 2016. According to a press release, the tour will also use a new production, never seen before in the UK & Europe, and promises to ābe a magical tribute to Richieās enduring legacy as one of musicās greatest songwriters and entertainers, and a true cultural icon.ā
āThe tour kicks off at the SSE Arena in Belfast on May 31 before moving on to Glasgow on 4 June and stopping off in London, Sheffield, Birmingham and two nights in Manchester. The run of dates will conclude with another night in London on June 15.

Richie last came to the UK in 2023 to perform at theĀ Coronation Concert in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Following renditions of his songs āEasy Like Sunday Morningā and āAll Night Longā, the 73-year-old received some backlash from fans watching the broadcast at home, who were quick to point out how his vocals sounded differentĀ to what they expected.
āIs someone disguised as Lionel Richie because that is not his voice! Sounds completely different,ā wrote one viewer. Another agreed, writing: āLionel Richieās voice sounds totally different. I wouldnāt recognise it!ā
Meanwhile, Richie also toured the US last year with Earth, Wind & Fire on their Sing A Song All Night Long Tour. He then performed a residency in Las Vegas later in 2023.
