The Northern Ireland Protocol (signed onto by the sitting government) is currently a source of faux outrage against the EU; accusing it of creating “trade imbalances/borders” within the union. Now the British government is approaches individual states of the United States to try and cut independent deals. Which is it, trade deals should only be allowed between sovereign states and not impact internal trade or is it a free for all and Cornwall will be doing trade deals with Seattle soon.

I think this means conservative states will do business and democrat states won’t.
We might as well just do deals with Russia and china.
