In the early stages of the match, there was a double chance. First, Blackstenius shot, which Schlimé saved, and then Kaneryd shot the rebound, which was also saved. All the action happened 5 meters from the goal. There were quite a few instances during the game just like this one, most of them had a missed rebound shot.
Filippa Angeldahl took the lead for Sweden in the 26th minute. The Real Madrid midfielder shot from outside of the box hitting the upper left corner of the net. A proper golazo.
Four minutes later she had another shot on target, taking a rebound after Kaneryd’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper. She had one more shot on target in the second half in which Schlimé had to make a diving save.
Kaneryd scored the second goal, doubling Sweden’s lead, only 5 minutes after the first was scored. Sweden had two annulled goals, one in each half of the match. Stina Blackstenius had scored one of the two annulled goals, but in 81’ she finally managed to get herself on the scoresheet. Evelyn Ijeh replaced Blackstenius one minute after scoring the third goal of the match and then proceeded to score another for Sweden in 90+3’
Aside from Angeldahl’s attempts on goal, the midfielder also provided support in interceptions and on wings for Kaneryd and Lundkvist on the right-hand side. Angeldahl played 76 minutes.
