The irony is Trump is convinced the media is *against* him, and has made no secret of the fact that if he gets the presidency they’re among the first ones he’s going after during his revenge spree. The spineless media are gladly marching to their own deaths, figuratively *and potentially literally* simply for the sake of some more traffic.
They want the clicks more than anything.
Because they make money off of him. And they are in the business of making money.
It’s content, media will do anything for content.
Game theory right there out in the open. Every one of those organizations propping Don up are only doing so because there is something in it for them if he wins. The media is not our friend, regardless of their ideological slant. They’re just a product.

Sooner people realize all the major media companies even the left leaning ones, are ran by conservatives the sooner people can stop watching them and giving them views
Negative news farms viewers. Trump is a walking, talking, negative news source for them to easily harvest from. I don’t even think it’s intentional(mostly) on the news media side of things. It’s just lazy and easy ‘news’ to report on. But they’re 100% complicit in giving him free media attention.
Way back in journalism school it was understood that reporters are liberal and publishers are conservative and if you wanted to get anything published you had to please your publisher.
I you zoom out, the whole thing is actually being held up by a massive tower crane with “VOTER APATHY” printed all the way down it.

I don’t think they want him to *win*, but a tight race is much more profitable. Clicks, shares, memberships, donations… almost every form of engagement is up when it’s close.
Most of those news sources are fairly neutral. My guess is that they want to make it *seem* like it’s a fair fight between Trump & Harris because that gets them attention.
Heck yeah … without Trump 90% of those political pundits are out of a job, and the billionaires that pay them have to pay the rest of us back all the taxes they owe.

It’s easy to understand when you realize the 55 different and separately owned media companies have been consolidated into single digits over the last 2 decades. These mega conglomerates are owned by the rich and wealthy… the same people who would get access and massive tax breaks if Trump is elected again.
With Harris, they face having to pay more of their fair share.

I cancelled my WaPo and will move my news reading time to The Guardian, BBC, NPR and other sources not owned by billionaires.
