Noone is gonna start a world war over some 3rd world post-soviet country. Putin’s ukranian ambition will cause thousands of deaths. nato involvment would multiply the number by at least 10 or 20. And there’ll be people dying from all over europe, not just ukranians and russians.

I don’t realise what should do the “west”, start the WWIII and a subsequent nuclear warfare? Everyone, Ukraine included, knew NATO would never intervened militarly against Russia in support of a non member country. Ukraine should have done like the Baltic countries and the former Warsaw Pact countries joining NATO many years ago, it’s too late now.
Yeah, what should we do? A full mass invasion of russia from the continent?If we were back in 1938 could’ ve been right, but now under MAD we can’t do that.
Also, Putin is a totalitarian madman with no moral nor principles, while we have a lot of more constraints and we can’t wage full scale war like a videogame. It’s not HOI4.
We need to help our brothers in Ukraine with good politics, diplomacy and “undercover operations” and logistic and intelligence support.

It is already imposing upon Russia some of the most economically devastating sanctions the world has seen thus far and we are already sending aid to Ukraine. I genuinely want to know what people here expect to be done, because from many of these comments it would appear that War with Russia is the only sasfifactory answer.
