Does the DOJ shut down in the months preceding an election?! Where have you gone, Merrick Garland?

  1. Hey now, it’s only been 3 1/2 years. Once he finally finds his office and unpacks, I’m sure we’ll see some action.

  2. Can’t make it political for at least five years before an election

  3. Worthless piece of crap ever got put in office. I’m on Mitch McConnell’s side for once for blocking his appointment to the SCOTUS, he would be as useless as potato salads at potlucks.

  4. Same place he’s been for nearly the last 4 years, right in his office. . . with the door closed. . . lights off. . . hiding under his desk.

  5. The biggest disappointment of the last 20 years. WTF is going on with him?

  6. Hmmmm … investigation, determination, grand jury, all in two weeks?

Due Process and Rule of law. You may have heard of them. Of course, if Trump is elected, you will never have to worry your pretty little head about `em again.

  7. Merrick Garland is Joe Biden’s biggest mistake, it’s not even close. This shit about starting at the bottom is complete BS. That’s lawyer talk for “I have no intentions of prosecuting Trump.”

  8. Look, Comrade/Iranian/Whatever…

I don’t like him either, but his name isn’t “Leon” and Americans don’t call it “Visa Fraud”

  9. The answer is yes, as it related to elections. This is an old informal rule design to prevent the DOJ from arbitrarily running amuck and interfering with the election by, say, indicting a candidate for bogus nonsense, stopping them from campaigning and suggesting to voters they did said things etc.,

  10. And let’s be honest Dark Brandon was just a meme. Biden is a fucking wimp. Couldn’t manage to put away the biggest threat to democracy. Fuck joe, and fuck Merrick. Limp dicks.

  11. Well, it’s very close to an election and Leon is – uh….. well he’s not running…. uh….

    Huh.

  12. I’m convinced he’s dead and there’s a “weekend at Bernie’s” situation at the DOJ, and the only reason they can’t do anything is because they can’t accurately mimic his signature.

  13. Yes, for the 48 months preceding any federal election there shall be no investigations or prosecutions of high ranking Republican officials and prominent celebrity supporters.

  14. Garland retired. But the presser got buried under the news of multiple crimes his department should be investigating and the press coverage that one nominee for president is a confirmed Nazi.

  15. Garland has been one of the worst AG’s I’ve ever seen and Bill Barr had the job last.

  16. Garland is a not a great DOJ director. With that said, a lot of investigations and law enforcement is done behind the scenes and out of the public eye. Hopefully, that means we could see some blowback in the future. The wheels of justice are too fucking slow.

  17. Garland does less work then I do and I’m currently unemployed.
