The Upstate Forum for European and American Business was hosted at Furman University’s Younts Conference Center October 22, 2024.

Several Upstate colleges hosted the inaugural “Upstate Forum for European and American Business” on Tuesday, Oct. 22, held in Younts Conference Center on the Furman University campus. Furman University, Clemson University, Greenville Tech, USC Upstate and Spartanburg Tech collaborated to bring more than a dozen companies to the event in addition to chambers of commerce.

“We’re trying to find a way that they [students] can get exposed to these companies, so they can see what they have to offer,” said Furman’s Ilka Rasch, an associate professor of German in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. FOX Carolina and Spectrum News covered the event.

The event connected Upstate college students with potential employment and internship opportunities especially in the electric vehicle marketplace.
