Not long ago, Slovenia confirmed Eurovision 2025 participation.
Today, RTV SLO released an official statement regarding the plans for Eurovision 2025.
Slovenia will select an artist and a song for Eurovision 2025 via “EMA 2025″
“EMA 2025” – Known Details
The submission window opened today (28th of October) and will close on the 25th of November 2024.
The submission should include an mp3 file with a high-quality record of the song, as well as a short biography of the artist, lyrics of the song, photo of the artist and more.
A selection committee will listen to the submitted songs and will shortlist 12 of them.
The shortlisted artists will be revealed by the 20th of December 2024
The show will be held on Saturday, the 1st of February 2025, in a format of a TV show.
The results will be determined by 2 rounds:
Round 1: 12 artists will compete for 2 spots in the super-final. The results will be based on 100% jury vote.
Round 2: The top 2 artists will face a public vote.
In the final, the 5 jury panels will be involved, each of them consisting of 5 members:
OGAE Slovenia
Music Jury
Television Jury
Radio Jury
International Eurovision influencers
The jury will rank the songs in the range of 1-8, 10, and 12 points.

In recent years, Slovenia has used a mixture of internal selection (2021, 2023, 2024) and “EMA” as national selection (2014 – 2020, 2022).
However, earlier in 2024, RTV SLO expressed their willingness to broadcast “EMA 2025”
Raiven represented Slovenia at Eurovision 2024 with the song “Veronika”.
She finished in 23rd place with 27 points
Eurovision 2025 will be held in Basel, Switzerland on the 13th, 15th and 17th of May 2025
