I never understood why so many seaside towns are problematic in England, in most countries seaside towns are nicer and more expensive to live in than average towns.
went to a 80s weekender at Skeggy butlins for a stag do and its like a mordor speed dating simulator in there.
apart from an emotional train journey back to notts on the scrote express it wasn’t actually as bad as I remember

I grew up in that town til I was 18, yes it’s a bit shit, but not much shitter than most towns. Still gets lots of tourists, good local bakeries and chippies. Good place to be raised, not so much to make a career in as its a bit isolated (Lincolnshire problems)
