2. Let’s hope so, but the election is still eight days away. The fight is not over. And while Geraldo Rivera is endorsing Kamala right now, I wouldn’t trust him to open Al Capone’s vault, let alone to call an election a week early.

4. Every week Trump does at least 5 things that people swear is the end of his campaign and every week maga supporters rent an excavator and dig the trench lower to place the bar. At this point they hit bedrock months ago.

His unhinged dance session at a rally, his Potemkin Village McDonald’s visit, his Madison Square Garden disaster that will be remembered for its Puerto Rican insults, his constant dumping on Detroit. This is a pattern, and it is likely that there will be another tremor or two before November 5. One of these might shake loose a few independents, undecided voters, or even Republicans.

22. If Trump had said what that comedian said it would make news today and be gone tomorrow. Any press seems to help, or at least not hurt, him.

    However – he didn’t say those things, an unlikable comedian did, and so the damage is much more severe. Whereas people wouldn’t take Trump seriously, somehow the fact that this guy called Puerto Rico an island of garbage is completely abhorrent to people. And that’s going to be hard for the Trump campaign to undo.

27. As Trump stated, he could shoot a man on 5th avenue and not lose a vote. What he didn’t elaborate on was the other things he could do and not lose a vote, this list includes, but is not limited to:

    Admitting on tape that he sexually assaulted women.

    Found in court to have raped E. Jean Carroll.

    Have sex with a porn star while married.

    Incite a mob to attack Capitol Police.

    Convicted on 34 counts of fraud.

    Keep secret documents after leaving office, refuse to return them as legally directed.

    Lie about election results, and offer no evidence.

    Brag about T.V. Ratings while talking about how Covid is killing thousands of Americans.

    Lose his abilities to form a coherent sentence.

    Insult the fallen veterans of U.S. wars, and show lack of understanding why anyone would risk life for their country.

    State that he might use the military to deal with his political adversaries.

    Boast about how he likes leaders who are authoritarians.

    State that there are good people on both sides of a protest, when one side was chanting “blood and soil”, and one of them deliberately drove a car into a crowd.

    I could go on, but any, and all of those would have instantly ruined a politics campaign twenty years ago
