  6. I’m not saying this is what happened with Cuban, but from what I’ve seen with small startups, and even medium sized companies, is they don’t separate the money jobs. Which makes fraud very easy. The same person doing the books, is the same writing the checks, and or doing receivables, etc., etc. And there’s definitely no oversight whatsoever.

    Sometimes it’s even a ‘trusted’ family member. Trusted until there’s no money…
