  1. Is it just me or has there been a lot more people dying with dogs one way or another, or is it just getting reported more

  2. Place your bets now on what sort of dog breed was involved…

  3. I’m surprised the dog wasn’t destroyed immediately, instead it’s being kept in kennels? Why would this be when it’s just killed a child?

  4. It’s so rarely the irresponsible (young, male) owner who chooses to have the dog that gets hurt.

  5. When will we reach the point of destroying all these dogs , no good for anything but violence

  6. That’s really sad. Hopefully, people can learn from this, but there seem to be more and more reported incidents lately.

  7. Just buy a traditional British dog like a labrador, a golden retriever a cocker spaniel then no one will die. When you see a big dog out with someone, it nearly always looks like someone who shouldn’t have such a powerful dog and can’t control them.

  8. A ten year old doesn’t die from being “bitten” by a family dog. They get a stitch or two at the very worst. To die from a dog they would have had to have been absolutely savaged, likely for some time.

  9. Dog currently remanded in a kennel.

    Wonder what breed…

  10. Sad that child has died, but it’s better that it’s their own dog rather than someone else. At least the family have themselves to blame.

  11. at this point it becomes a question of how much people love their pets compared to fellow humans. If not even the death of an infant child(yet another) can shake them, i dunno what will. These people are dangerous animal lovers.

  12. This is fucking tragic, no matter what the circumstances, an innocent child has died, and we all know it was avoidable by not having a cock extension as a dog.

  13. I’m a grown adult woman and I ran and hid from a child walking an XL bully a few weeks ago. I was half way down a long straight stretch of road and I was too scared to turn back on myself in case the dog saw me as a sport, and I was too scared to walk past in case it attacked there and then.

I quickly made my way across the road when I seen them in the distance and hid round the side of a white van praying they’d pass on the other side of the road without incident.

Child was no older than about 6 years old, mum about 5 ft nothing walking beside her on the phone. XL bully was unmuzzled and fuckin huge 😭😭😭 never felt fear like it.

  14. I don’t want to say what type of dog or what people

  15. It can be explained to me a million times but I will never understand it.

  16. I just cannot comprehend what it must be like for your child to be killed by an animal that you have brought into the family home. Killed in a place where they should be ultimately safe under your protection. My heart goes out to that poor little girl. What a tragic loss.

  17. Hope the family can recover and eventually come to terms with this horror.

  18. The same people who defend XL bullies in the Uk will also claim that guns are bad in America and completely miss the irony…they’re both bad

  19. If you put certain dogs near vulnerable people or children you should be done for murder. We all know what sort of dog this will inevitably be. It’s not even a shock anymore.

  20. The dog should be dead already, not being ‘assessed’.

  21. What is really sad is that “lighthearted” story of the guy travelling the country saving the XL bullies before they were going to be killed. Dude literally endangering children’s lives – all XL Bullies should be destroyed without question

  22. >The force said

It’s actually ‘Police Service’. Official vocab guidelines suggest ‘force’ is too aggressive
