People being human. A very human face of human beings is depicted up here in a world that seems more divided than ever.
All the good thoughts & prayers are with the ones in need, afected by the relentless force of mother nature🙏🏻!!!
When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

In times like these it’s good for everyone on the planet to see that kindness still exists.
So first flooded by water, and now by people?!
But seriously, it’s great so many volunteers help those in need! We had a similar phenomenon here in Germany a few years back, when the Ahr valley flooded and we had severe mismanagement on the side of politics before, during and after. Thousands of volunteers from all over came to clean up and rebuild. We’re still not done.
As well as the volunteers, pretty much every city, town and village in Spain are taking donations of food, water and clothes, the whole country is united to help.
I saw people walking into the worst affected areas with buckets and mops and brushes. I also heard the authorities asked people not to come in order to keep the roads clear for professional emergency services.
But I don’t know what happened after that. Did these people manage to help the situation or did they make it worse?
I’d like to know whether this solidarity would be as strong in France. But why do I doubt it?
Great to see so much solidarity. We also saw this when it happened in Eastern Belgium. But 100.000 people? Wow. Great to see so much humanity. Good luck, people! ❤️
Don’t forget to force the regional government that decided to disband catwarn and relief in Valencia…
1 for all and all for 1!
My prayers are with you! In God we trust!
I’ve been in a hamster ball type thing on that pond next to the people. Surreal. But I did always think that the design of that particular area was really good for assembling a military presence… but I guess rescuing civilians is a way better use.
I have mixed feelings. I’m sure they all have good intentions but shouldn’t the clean up happen by professionals, military etc? I saw pictures with civilians cleaning next to car wrecks, this seems rather dangerous and disorganised. Honestly the preparations for the flood seem as chaotic as the response afterward. This is not to diminish the good intentions of these people.
Love to see people helping others out
maybe someone from Spain can shed some light..someone mentioned that France offered 300 men to help and Argentina offered equipment and Spain said NO? also they still haven’t managed to declare state of emergency in Valencia? what’s that all about?
