> Would you want a german-speaking minority in your country again
I mean, the last time we had one it didn’t end well for anyone.
It would only make sense if we never lost them, but the population there is like 95% german nowadays, so no (Unless we get to do a funny with decrees again)
Not the direction we should be going, lets dissolve borders bit by bit, don’t redraw new ones.
Nein, danke.
It was never part of the Czech Republic, it was property of the Bohemian crown.
Lusatia? No problem. Lusatians? Yeah, maybe not.
Step 1) Take it
Step 2) Babišovi dekrety
Step 3) …
Step 4) Profit
Step by step closer to sea is worth it.
No. Lusatia was never part of Czech Republic. And what would be the point of gaining hundreds of thousands of people who don’t even speak our language? In general, there is absolutely no point in any changes of borders within the EU, other than the eventual abolishment of those borders for a more efficient division once EU finally federalizes.
They’re not Czechs. They should have their own state. Or rather they should have had it 100 years ago now it’s kinda too late.
Do the funny with decrees and we have a deal
Definitely would trade this instead of Slezko.
No point, wouldn´t work. There´s no desire for that on either side and no real cultural cohesion either.
Nope.
Generally, I think that everybody sticking to their borders is a precondition for peace and prosperity. Annexing parts of other countries is pretty much always just asking for problems.
Absolutely not.
1. It’s mostly German now
2. We got enough stuff to deal with as is
3. Sounds like awfully imperialistic and russian-esque idea
Like I know that history is the only real way to do land claims like that, but I don’t support using history as a justification in the modern age.
It’s being used for evil far far more than for good
No but the Czechs deserve Královec
In accordance with the Peace of Prague (1635) and then Peace of Westphalia (1648) it should be returned back already after 1815. It was only loaned as payment. Because otherwise it shall be paid by Saxony but it never has. The failure of Metternich and then Versailles 1918.
No kurva že.
Some call Slovaks brothers here but we shared a state with them for less than hundert years and they managed to betrayal us twice. People of Lusatia were with us under one crown for hundreds of years and are our true brothers. Sadly, it is we who betrayled them and did not fight enough for them after both world wars. Now the Germans practicaly wiped them out (a.k.a. assimilated). Masaryk should have fought more for them. He even proposed an inclusion after WW1 but sadly it did not happen.
No, it doesn’t make sense since we lost it almost 300 years ago and it has german majority.
You mean “would you support war?”
No.
