  1. It’s not a conspiracy theory to wait several months to classify it as a terrorist attack when you knew that back in August. It’s just lying.

  2. When the theory of a conspiracy theory is proven correct, all that is left is the conspiracy.

  3. The weird attachment of a picture of the killer much younger than they were didn’t help either. Like wtf are you trying to do with that

  4. Does anyone know why, in every single picture, this beast is hiding his nose? Pretty comical that it is a feature of every picture, including the picture on the article about conspiracy theories!

  5. you was all calling him an English Christian a few weeks ago…

  6. the Merseyside chuff of police screwed the whole thing up by Tyrone to mislead the public.

If she’d have said a “British born and raised male to legal migrants”, rather than her whole “moved from Wales” obsfication a lot of rioting would not have happened.

  7. The article just can’t bring itself to be straightforward. Hand wringing and convoluted sophistry to avoid a straight answer. Exactly when Home Secretary know about the details? Why were these not revealed as soon as possible?

Mumble mumble, not connected, too complicated, sensitive info yaddda yadda.

  8. To take a risk and play devil’s advocate

How important is it really for the public to know information as soon as it becomes available? It serves no purpose except to satisfy curiosity.

Meanwhile, the police are investigating while the incident attracts attention nationally, which means any official information released is reported nationwide. It will be impossible to find a jury that is unaware of the case, so the police have to ensure that the official information released does not contradict the information the jury will be presented in court, otherwise they’re just handing the defence the opportunity to claim the jury has been prejudiced.

So there is some wisdom in not releasing information until the investigation is firm in its conclusions.

  9. If you want to even attempt to start stopping the spread of conspiracy theories it’s quite important to be as transparent as you can (within the limits of the law) with the public. Lying to them and doing things like using a picture of him when he was at school only adds fuel to the conspiracy theory fire

  10. Misinformation festers in darkness.

Humans have an innate desire to be able to apportion a reason for something happening as we feel uncomfortable with the unknown.

So Humans will make up the info in the absence of truth. This is why the truth must be released as soon as possible.

  11. And the conspiracy is we don’t trust you? Amazing.

  12. Yea, funny how consistently being found out to have pushed disinformation about stuff has led to you being distrusted.

Welsh lad from a Christian family, was it? You knew exactly what that was supposed to be interpreted as.
