  13. In case anyone is inspired to get a slow cooker after seeing this –

    I bought a large one to cover all eventualities, even though 99% of the time I’m only cooking for a few. It turns out that you can’t just quarter fill a slow cooker and get the same results, everything starts to overcook and burn. So buy accordingly!

  14. We had beef rib today but on Wednesday we’re having beef rib stew in the slow cooker.

    Tuesday night I’m not at home but it’ll be in the fridge ready for OH to put it all in the slow cooker Wednesday morning so it’ll be ready for when I get home

    Had a sorry excuse for a “slow cooked” stew and dumplings “WITH REAL ALE” “luxury range” ready meal from Morrisons recently.

    It was despicable lmao. I swear it was just half a tin of stewed steak and half a tin of mixed veg with some soggy dumplings on top. Even yellow labelled at £1.43 (Normally £4+ IIRC,) it felt like a con after eating it.
