  1. He is a slum landlord. How dare he get pr by pretending to care about homelessness

  2. Unfortunately a lot of the issues described aren’t uncommon in the U.K. in older properties. However it’s pretty disgraceful leaving houses like this if you’re a landlord, especially a literal prince.

In the U.K. you do get stick off people for putting double glazed PVC windows and other mod cons into older properties but at some point actual living people need to be prioritised over the “look” of a building.

  3. Very poor, very disappointing. Sadly not surprising. He needs to do so much better.

I wonder how his documentary will do now.

  4. They should be ashamed and deeply embarrassed.

  5. How can he fix homelessness when he doesn’t even fix these houses?

  6. What I hope is they now renovate these properties so their tenants live in decent homes. We have what is called a decent homes standard in the UK. The royals should be able to say the duchy properties all meet decent homes standards. The only exception would be large historic houses and mansions as the standards include modern bathrooms and kitchens, but a castle for example you might want to keep the 100 year old kitchen as it is.

  7. I quote verbatim:

*everyone deserves a safe and secure home*

Interesting way of going about providing safe and secure housing indeed 🫠

  8. I’m all for public shaming if it means that these tenants will finally get livable conditions without mold, how is that even acceptable for them?!

  9. William has only taken over the Duchy in 2022, upon Charles becoming king. Charles oversaw it for technically 60 years. It definitely needs attended to but looks like it should have been done years ago.

  10. Can the tenants sue the Duchies ? Like, doesn’t that affect your health long term which would make the landlord liable for their tenants health consequences from living in such conditions? Where is a class action lawsuit when we need it?

  11. The royal family actually owns the seabed out 12 nautical miles around England, and they’re having the peasants live in squalor? Storm the palace gates!
