  1. Source: Telegram channel soniah_hub (has ties to Ukrainian Air Force)

    > Aviation continues to work in all directions, MiG-29 from 114BrTA drops 8 SDBs at the same time at the concentrations of assault groups near Orikhiv area, they were preparing for assault, but they assaulted only 2 meters deep 😈

    > GBU39

    > PS: The video is quite big, so wait for the second part soon. One of the pros of 8 bombs is the ability to throw them at different targets, that can be at a great distance from each other.

  2. It’s so crazy to me that Ukraine still has an Air Force. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad, but the fact that Russia hasn’t be able to establish air superiority in this conflict baffles me.

  3. It’s very interesting to see the MiG-29 dropping so many bombs, until now I’ve only seen it drop two bombs

This is the advantage of small diameter bombs, the impact is smaller, but they cover a much larger number of targets in a single mission, exposing the plane to less risk than would be necessary on multiple missions

  4. Genuinely not trying to be a dick here, but does this video look weird to anyone else? That zoom in towards the beginning looked strange.

  5. I counted 8 off the rails, but only three detonation. Should have been more boom. Unless 5 were “dusters”, and that wouldn’t bode well for the drop.

  6. r/PraiseTheCameraMan … the tracking on the drop and rollback… some of the best footage of a GBU lob I’ve seen so far. the only shots that come close are the Hammer launches where the fighter jet has to basically do a 180 while launching almost vertical. but the tracking on this is spectacular!

  7. Interesting footage. How do you know they are GBU-39’s? IS the MiG-29 capable to ripple release them at different targets? Looks like a pretty low altitude drop as well.

  8. I don’t see how those drops and explosions match up. I counted 3 explosions from 8 dropped munitions.

  9. It is good to see the Ukrainians giving the Russian troops a taste of their own medicine.

  10. awesome to see these Ukraine Airforce flying support missions
