    Instead of “smashing the gangs” why don’t we just take the fine or sanctions like the European countries and just simply dump them back in France before they even get here?

    Instead of taking these people in why don’t we just build a detention centre and keep them there until their claim is processed? I’m sure getting off a boat into a prison would be a deterrent.

  6. It was behind a paywall so i cant read the article. Some controlled intelligence sharing is sensible but to give eu officials full access to the uk intelligence databases is madness. Organised criminals and nefarious nations can easily lean on officials and use them to harvest certain data. I imagine there are strict protocols in place within the uk regarding access but are our eu friends equal in this regard? But i am speculating as i cant read the article.

  10. Sounds like another good, sensible policy. It worked pretty well before, restoring it makes sense.
