The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission asked a New York Judge to request assistance from the Czech government to depose a witness they say warned SolarWinds of an unaddressed security vulnerability.
Robert Krajčír, a former SolarWinds employee, “is likely to have knowledge of the state of cybersecurity at the company” pertinent to the agency’s case alleging SolarWinds mislead investors about its cybersecurity practices, and the significance of a major network compromise culminating in a sweeping cyberattack in 2020 that affected clients including the US government, according to a motion filed Friday in the Southern District of New York.
