The death toll from historic flash floods in Spain climbed to at least 205 people Friday, with many more believed to be missing, as the initial shock gave way to anger, frustration and a wave of solidarity. Spanish emergency authorities said 202 of the victims were in the eastern region of Valencia, and officials warned that more rain is expected in the coming days. The damage from the storm Tuesday and Wednesday recalled the aftermath of a tsunami, with survivors left to pick up the pieces as they mourn loved ones lost in Spain’s deadliest natural disaster in living memory.

  1. Why are people shocked? Climatologists have been telling us to expect this for decades.
    OK let me give you the bad news. Storms and extreme weather will continue to get worse. In 2022 70.000 people in Europe died due to excessive heat, but nobody seemed to notice. Wake up to reality, man made climate change is real, and has started and will get far far worse. Now don't say you are shocked when 2000 people die in a flood. Qnd do not attack me, I am telling you what you need to hear, it's up to you whether you act on it.

  3. Billions spent on weapons for defense when the people need proper civil defense and probably drills in vulnerable areas and designated areas for vehicles .

  4. The AEMET (Spanish Meteorological Agency) issued a warning 5 days in advance
    Then, on Oct 29th at 07:30 am, AEMET issued a "Red Alert" warning
    The regional's presidents and mayors seemed to overlooked that info
