Very sad to see what’s happening in Pakistan. Oppositions ministers of the parliament and provincial parliament were kidnapped and tortured in order to get this amendment passed. The army has been kidnapping and torturing civilians for opposing the military junta.
Here’s a link about a leaked audio of Pakistani-Australian man who got a call by the ISI who were torturing his brother for posting pro Imran Khan content on Facebook.

Of course, that is how reciprocity works.
BTW, the last Prime Minister Imran khan was also involved in all kinds of shenanigans involving the Supreme Court and parliament to extend the service term of the last army chief. That was a whole saga before the army turned against him.
Pakistan never disappoints in serving up the drama, be it in politics or cricket.
It’s truly amusing to see how pakistani politicians are digging their own grave . Military junta will stab them with same knife which they themselves created . I once came across an anology about a criminal who grows mushrooms on bodies of his victims , he will make sure victims would not die but incapacitated them enough so they won’t resist. Pakistan army acts in same way .
