about a third of our votes go for populists, so it‘s not a surprise that they would vote for another populist, even if that one turned into a fascist in the meantime.
I would wager that most of these people have a very selective understanding of US politics in general, even less than the already uninformed average US voter, so results like this should be taken with a grain of salt.

Switzerland is the most similar country to usa in Europe. Switzerland uses a private insurance system for the healthcare system, a quite fiscal conservative, federal system, etc..

Trump called the UN useless, he is a staunch supporter of these war criminals (Is(n’t)real), he wants to disband NATO, he is convinced that Ukraine shouldn’t be armed, but they should start making concessions to Russia and give up territory for a peace deal, he has again been accused of sexual abuse, he wants to impose sanctions on Switzerland because we made a trade deal with China, and the list goes on and on and on… The 25% of Swiss people who would vote for him must be braindead.
